Senior Care in West Jefferson, Ohio

A Madison County village along the historic National Road, closer to Columbus than the rest of the county.

West Jefferson sits in eastern Madison County along the old National Road, now US-40, about 18 miles and roughly 25 minutes from downtown Columbus via I-70 — noticeably closer to the city than London, the county seat further west. The village was incorporated in 1833, not long after the National Road reached it, and grew initially around stagecoach traffic before settling into the agricultural pattern of the surrounding Darby Plain. In recent decades it's become Madison County's fastest-growing industrial community, with warehouse and logistics development concentrated along the SR-29 corridor and a number of residents commuting to Battelle Memorial Institute and other Columbus-area employers. The 2020 census counted 4,137 residents, with recent estimates above 5,000.
