Radnor is an unincorporated community and census-designated place of about 180 residents at the center of Radnor Township, in the far northwest corner of Delaware County — a genuinely rural setting bordering Marion County to the north. The township was first settled in 1803 and named for a county in Wales; the village itself was originally called Delhi before adopting the township's name in the 1870s. Radnor sits amid a cluster of gently rolling knolls and broad grain fields, and remains one of the most agricultural corners of a county that has otherwise seen fast suburban growth closer to Columbus.

That contrast matters for senior care planning: while Powell and the southern part of Delaware County have grown into Columbus-adjacent suburbs with newer senior communities, Radnor's own pace of change has stayed slow, and it has no commercial senior-care infrastructure of its own.
